Payment & Security

Where your card details go, which is not to us

Checkout runs on Shopify. We never see or hold a full card number, so there is nothing on our side for anyone to take.

How payment is handled

When you pay, the card details go from your browser to Shopify Checkout over a TLS-encrypted connection and on to the payment processor. Shopify is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the standard that applies to the largest card handlers. What comes back to us is an order: your name, delivery address, email, what you bought, and the last four digits of the card with its brand. That is all of it.

Nobody here can retrieve a card number, because it was never stored anywhere we can reach. If you email asking us to change a payment we cannot — we can refund, and you re-order.

Prices are in US dollars

Every price on this site is USD and USD is what you are charged. A card issued in another currency is converted by your bank at their rate, and they may add a fee. We see neither.

When you are charged

Once, at checkout, for the full amount including shipping. No subscriptions, no stored cards, no second charge on dispatch.

On your statement

The charge shows as Jovrenta. If a Hong Kong descriptor appears beside it, that is the registered company, UNI-HOPE TECHNOLOGY LIMITED, and not a second charge.

Duties and taxes

US orders ship with no duties collected at checkout. Outside the US, any local charge is the recipient's and is collected by the carrier on delivery.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Order records, including your delivery address, for as long as accounting law requires us to keep them.
  • Your email address, to send the order confirmation and the dispatch notice.
  • The card brand and last four digits, so a refund can be matched to the right payment.

We do not sell any of it, and we do not send marketing unless you have asked for it. The full account is in our privacy policy.

Refunds

A refund goes back to the card that paid, always — we cannot send it anywhere else. We release it immediately on approval; how long it takes to appear is your bank's business, and five to ten business days is normal. Terms are on the refund policy.

If something looks wrong

A charge you do not recognise, an email from us that reads oddly, or a page asking for details it should not: stop and email info@jovrenta.com. We will never email or message you asking for a card number, a password, a one-time code, or a payment by bank transfer. Any message that does is not from us, however convincing it looks.
