Paprika Pepper Lap Tray

A red paprika pepper plant drawn as a botanical plate — ripe fruit, leaves and the small white flowers that come before them, all on one stem. Painted for us in the manner of a nineteenth-century plant study, without the Latin names underneath.

This is the heat-resistant half of the range. The surface takes a mug straight off the kettle up to about 90°C, which the illustrated animal trays are not rated for.

Care
